For the first time in Central Asia: Web Summit Spotlight

Uzbekistan is set to showcase its growth as an emerging global innovation hub by hosting its first Web Summit Spotlight on September 27 in Tashkent. The meetup will join leading international experts, venture capital investors, startup founders, and IT industry leaders.

Web Summit runs the world’s largest technology events, connecting people and ideas that change the world. What started as a 150-person tech conference in Dublin in 2009 has grown into global gatherings, including its flagship Web Summit in Lisbon every November, and events like Web Summit Rio, Web Summit Qatar, and Web Summit Vancouver. It is a meeting point where startups are launched, multimillion-dollar agreements are concluded, and the technology agenda for years ahead is defined.

The arrival of Web Summit Spotlight in Uzbekistan reflects the country’s steady progress toward becoming a global center for innovation and technology.
