On June 22-23 of this year, with the support of IT Park and the International School of Informatics took place the qualifying round of the sixth edition National CUP ISIJ Uzbekistan.
Registration for the event was open to all interested participants, and over 200 students submitted their applications. The final number of participants was approximately 150 individuals.
The participants represented various regions of Uzbekistan, including Jizzakh, Namangan City, Samarkand, Tashkent City, Tashkent Region, Bukhara City, Khorezm, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Fergana, Andijan, Karakalpakstan, and Surkhandarya. Students from 7 presidential schools also took part in the competition.
The qualifying round consisted of two stages:
- Mathematical round: Participants were required to solve tests assessing their knowledge of mathematical informatics and algorithm theory.
- Programming round: Participants had to demonstrate their programming skills using one of the languages: Pascal, Python, or C++.
Students who passed the qualifying round earned the opportunity to participate in the International Junior Informatics Cup, which will take place from July 1st to July 7th. All stages of the competition, including the main event, will be conducted in an online format.
For reference: Cup ISIJ 2023 is an annual international informatics Olympiad consisting of 5 rounds based on mathematical informatics, algorithmization, and programming in C++. Each year, the International Junior Informatics Cup attracts thousands of participants from around the world, who are eager to compete with the best, exchange experiences, and find like-minded individuals.
