From this year’s 5 to 6 December, a visit of a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov took place. During the visit, meetings were held between representatives of the Ministry, as well as Deputy Director of IT Park for International Relations Bohodir Ayupov with the heads of Astana Hub resident companies in order to discuss issues of expanding their activities in the Uzbek market with the support of IT Park.
During the events held, the heads of 6 Astana Hub resident companies showed interest in opening their offices in Uzbekistan and becoming residents of IT Park. Among them: Oquda, Maxinum Consulting Group, MyBuh.kz, Datanomix, Parqour and Sapa Telemedicine Center.
What do these companies do?
Oquda has developed a service marketplace for specialists in international education, who provide applicants with comprehensive support in choosing and applying to a foreign university, taking into account the educational program and cost of training suitable for them. With the help of this platform, students can follow grants and scholarships around the world, competently fill out all the necessary questionnaires and contact representatives of universities through specialists.
Maximum Consulting Group provides consulting services in the field of business process automation and financial technologies. This company can be attracted as a mentor for beginning IT specialists in Uzbekistan on the use of the Upwork innovative platform. In particular, the heads of Maximum Consulting Group are interested in cooperation with IT Centers and IT Universities to provide practical internships in large IT companies in Kazakhstan.
MyBuh.kz is an automated service for the provision of accounting services for any company, which removes the need for accountants. After opening their representative office in Uzbekistan, the founders of MyBuh.kz will study the common problems of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition to this, it was decided that IT Park will help in negotiations with state banks on the implementation of the service and API integration with the state bodies of Uzbekistan.
Consulting company Datanomix provides services in the field of data analysis and visualization on the Qlik platform through the development and implementation of Business Intelligence systems. Datanomix intends to conduct training in Uzbekistan on potential risks in the implementation of public procurement, as well as organize educational courses on working with the Qlik platform for IT professionals.
Parqour is a company that has developed SmartParking technology for car parking, which has already opened its representative office in Uzbekistan and has won a number of projects. After obtaining the status of a resident of IT Park, the company will be assisted in attracting potential clients in the person of the heads of construction companies, district khokimiats of the city of Tashkent and so on.
The "Sapa" Telemedicine Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan develops and manufactures medical equipment for the automatic diagnosis of patients with cardiovascular diseases. By introducing this equipment into government medical institutions, it is possible to significantly increase the efficiency of doctors’ work by saving time and resources. Moreover, in Uzbekistan, the production of electronic medical equipment may also begin with the support of specialists from the Sapa center.
The agreements reached between the delegation of Uzbekistan and representatives of Kazakhstani IT companies will allow the talented youth of Uzbekistan to gain practical experience in their branches, which can be opened on the territory of our country. The jobs created as a result of the opening of representative offices will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the economy, and will also allow domestic and Kazakhstanʼs IT specialists to exchange knowledge and experience.
