IT Park: Participation in Web Summit Qatar and Uzbekistan Tech Conference in Doha

A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy General Director Jahongir Radjabov, will embark on a working visit to Qatar to participate in the Web Summit Qatar 2024 and host the Uzbekistan Tech Conference in Doha. The objective of the trip is to strengthen business ties and attract Qatari companies to Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation intends to showcase Uzbekistanʼs potential as a prime destination for IT business, as well as explore opportunities for collaboration with representatives of Qatari business community.

A significant component of the visit will be the participation of the IT Park delegation in Web Summit Qatar 2024 — the worldʼs largest technology conference, taking place for the first time in the MENA region from February 26 to 29.

Web Summit Qatar is expected to gather over 12,000 technology professionals, over 800 startups, and more than 300 international investors.

As part of the summit, on February 28 at 16:00, the Uzbekistan Tech Conference will be held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha, organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies in collaboration with IT Park and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Qatar. The conference will showcase the advantageous opportunities, tax incentives, preferences, and support programs offered by IT Park to technology and service-oriented companies in Qatar intending to establish their presence in Uzbekistan.

“We are actively engaged in attracting foreign companies to Uzbekistan, and Qatar is a crucial partner for us in this regard. This country is one of the key players in the MENA region, and companies from Uzbekistan are already actively exporting their products and services to this region. We are confident that our trip will contribute to increasing the export volume of our residents and attracting international companies to Uzbekistan,“ said Jahongir Radjabov. “Meetings with representatives of Qatari businesses and participation in the Web Summit conference are just some of the strategic steps towards achieving our global goal of transforming Uzbekistan into an international hub for IT outsourcing and increasing the export of IT services of the republic to $5 billion by 2030.”
