Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, held a meeting with a delegation from Hefei, Anhui Province, organized in cooperation with the Khan Tengri Innovation Hub. The Chinese side was headed by Zhang Liye, Vice President of the Grand Union of Innovation. Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on cooperation and on supporting Chinese companies interested in entering the Central Asian market.
Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) is an innovation ecosystem established in 2022 in Hefei (Anhui, China). Today, it unites more than 6,000 technology companies and 60,000 specialists, manages 1,725 new tech projects, and operates a network of 13 innovation centers worldwide. GUi develops advanced technological domains, including IT, biomedicine, new energy, and smart manufacturing solutions, and supports international initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of technology companies.
During the meeting, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the core areas of the technopark’s activities, ongoing initiatives, and existing projects implemented in collaboration with Chinese partners. They also provided an overview of the development of Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem, export potential, educational programs, and instruments designed to support businesses.
The Chinese delegation outlined the activities of GUi, opportunities offered by the city of Hefei, and companies belonging to the group. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the digitalization of education, the development of data centers, and the establishment of research and R&D centers.
Representatives of GUi emphasized that the organization operates a network of 13 international innovation hubs and actively support technology companies in entering foreign markets. Uzbekistan was highlighted as a promising destination for further cooperation and the implementation of joint technological initiatives.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the entry of Chinese companies into the Central Asian market. IT Park Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to support such projects by providing infrastructure, advisory services, and assistance within its existing programs.
Partnership with one of China's largest innovation ecosystems opens new opportunities for attracting technology companies, implementing joint R&D initiatives, and expanding IT Park’s international partner network. This cooperation will accelerate the development of Uzbekistan’s IT market, attract new investments, and strengthen the country’s position as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
