IT PARK Uzbekistan Discusses Prospects for Cooperation with a Turkish Delegation

On November 27, a meeting was held as part of the official visit of Turkish companies to Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Board of the industrial zone "Ostim." The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and establish strategic partnerships between Uzbek and Turkish companies in the field of high technology and innovation.

Ostim is an international operator with extensive experience in developing and managing industrial zones. One of its flagship projects is an industrial zone in Türkiye that houses over 5,000 manufacturing companies offering thousands of products.

During the meeting, Turkish delegation representatives were introduced to projects and initiatives aimed at supporting startups, software developers, and IT companies in Uzbekistan, which sparked significant interest among Turkish partners.

Special attention was given to the support programs developed in Uzbekistan for IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies. These initiatives create favorable conditions for business development, attracting Turkish companies to Uzbekistan and encouraging their entry into international markets.

Nilufer Ariak, a member of the Turkish delegation and founder of Akdan, highlighted the importance of experience sharing and expressed interest in developing collaboration with IT Park. She noted her admiration for the large number of highly skilled professionals in Uzbekistan who are proficient in multiple languages, making the country a promising hub for the development of international projects.

Akdan is a company specializing in the production and export of goods in Türkiye. Its primary exports include consulting services, research, and development. Since 1995, Akdan has worked with governmental, non-governmental, and private organizations in both national and international markets.

The establishment of partnerships between Uzbek and Turkish companies in the IT sector opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan. This cooperation can attract foreign investment, increase the export of IT services and technological solutions, and create more jobs for local specialists, further contributing to the development of the country’s innovative ecosystem.
