IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a formal ceremony to recognize employees who successfully completed training under the international ISO 50001:2018 standard, aimed at implementing and developing an Energy Management System (EnMS).

As part of the ceremony, 15 IT Park employees received certificates confirming their completion of the training and validating their competencies in energy efficiency, energy consumption management, and the implementation of international sustainability standards.

The event opened with a welcoming address by Abdulahad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, who emphasized that energy management is an integral part of IT Park’s sustainable development strategy and the formation of a modern digital infrastructure:
“ISO 50001 is not just a technical standard, but a philosophy of systematic management. For IT Park, which is developing a startup ecosystem, IT infrastructure, and the export of digital services, efficient energy management is of strategic importance,” he noted.
It was also highlighted during the event that, according to data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), the implementation of energy management systems, including ISO 50001, enables organizations to reduce energy consumption by an average of approximately 11% in the first years, and in some cases by 10–30%, directly contributing to cost reduction and a lower carbon footprint.

The training was conducted with the support of CERT International, one of the leading international organizations in the field of ISO certification and training. Riad Ibragimov, CEO of CERT International, was recognized for the high quality of the program and its practical, hands-on approach to training.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that the trained specialists will form the core team responsible for implementing and further developing the energy management system at IT Park Uzbekistan, ensuring sustainable development, energy efficiency, and compliance with international standards.

IT Park Uzbekistan continues to consistently adopt global best management practices, building a technologically advanced and sustainable ecosystem for startups, IT companies, and the country’s digital economy.
