IT Park Uzbekistan Presents Uzbekistan’s Innovation Ecosystem at the Central Asia Startup CUP in Bishkek

Bishkek hosted the Central Asia Startup CUP, a major regional forum that convened over 1,000 ecosystem participants, 100 startups, and 10 investment funds with a cumulative capital exceeding USD 2 billion.

On the first day of the event, Lazizbek Khudaev, Head of the Department for Interaction with Member Companies at IT Park Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation outlining the core activities of the technopark, the dynamics of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem, government support mechanisms, and the country’s investment potential.

Uzbekistan: From Local Solutions to Global Markets

In his address, the representative of IT Park Uzbekistan emphasized three strategic focus areas:

  1. The growing number of tech startups in Uzbekistan, including projects in AI, Agritech, GovTech, and HealthTech;
  2. Tax incentives and infrastructure support available to IT Park members;
  3. Successful cases of IT solution exports by Uzbek companies to the CIS, Middle East, and European markets.

“Uzbekistan today is not only a regional hub, but a platform for scaling bold ideas. Our members are already redefining approaches within the public sector, agriculture, and healthcare. The next frontier lies in global expansion, and the Central Asia Startup CUP offers a timely springboard for that ambition,” stated Lazizbek Khudaev.

Dalerkhon Nodirov, Deputy Director of IT Park Ventures, also took an active part in the forum. He contributed to the panel discussion titled Global Trends in the Startup Industry, where he shared insights into Uzbekistan’s efforts to cultivate an innovation-driven ecosystem.

Furthermore, Mr. Nodirov participated in the VC Speed Dating session aimed at fostering direct engagement between startups and investors, and served as a jury member in the final round of the Startup Battle, the winners of which were awarded grants of USD 10,000 and invited to join an acceleration program in Silicon Valley.

IT Park Uzbekistan’s participation in the Central Asia Startup CUP underscores the country’s growing role as a regional innovation leader. Initiatives of this nature reinforce Central Asia’s positioning as a credible player on the global technological landscape, while opening new avenues for startups and investors.
