Prospects for Enhancing Cooperation in Digital Technologies Discussed with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan

From March 28 to 30, Almaty (Kazakhstan) is hosting the international exhibition AlmatyFair.ai, dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), fostering regional cooperation, and strengthening business ties among IT companies, startups, and industry experts.

During the event, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan visited the exhibition on digital technologies and artificial intelligence, where they were introduced to the latest innovations and technological solutions in the field.

As part of the visit, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of cooperation in the IT sector, including support for startups and the implementation of joint initiatives in digital transformation.

Furthermore, discussions encompassed the expansion of collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan and Astana Hub, the development of artificial intelligence in Central Asia — including the training of qualified IT and AI specialists — support for startups, and the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem.

Proposals were also put forward for exchanging experience in the implementation of digital solutions and artificial intelligence within the public sector.
