The official launch of the first batch for the «Plug and Play» acceleration program

On October 24, 2022, within the framework of the “ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2022”, the official launch ceremony of the first batch for the «Plug and Play» acceleration program took place.

The official launch ceremony was held together with Sherzod Shermatov - Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, Kammuna Irisbekova - Chairwoman of the Board of «Aloqabank», Olimjon Umarov – Adviser to the Chairwoman of the Board of «Aloqabank», Farkhod Ibragimov - CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, Gaibulloev Sukhrob – CEO of «AloqaVentures», Sascha Karimpour — Managing Director of «Plug and Play Germany», Co-Founder «Plug and Play Uzbekistan» and Felix Lammers — Manager Corporate Partnerships, Co-Founder  «Plug and Play Uzbekistan».

As  «Plug and Play» representatives noted, starting from October 24, startups can apply for the first selection wave for the «Plug and Play Uzbekistan» acceleration program on the website: https://www.plugandplaytechcenter.com/uzbekistan/.

Also, during their speech, representatives of «Plug and Play» announced the opening of an office in Uzbekistan in December and familiarized the guests of the event with the activities of the innovation platform, and the opportunities they provide for startups, corporations, and government organizations. Also, they gave a speech about their plans to develop a startup ecosystem, cooperate with corporations and attract venture capital investments in Uzbekistan. Аfter the launch, the most promising startup projects will be selected and assisted in their growth by participating in acceleration programs and establishing networking with large corporations.
