Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference in the U.S.: New Partnerships and Strategic Interest in Uzbekistan

As part of the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference held in New York, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan conducted a series of key meetings with international technology companies, showcasing Uzbekistan’s investment and IT outsourcing potential. 

Held in the heart of Manhattan, the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference brought together over 60 participants, including company founders, C-level executives, and prominent industry leaders.   

The event commenced with opening remarks by Jamila Khalibaeva, Global Marketing Director of IT Park Uzbekistan: 

“Uzbekistan is no longer merely a newcomer to the global outsourcing arena. It is a country with a bold vision, a rapidly expanding IT ecosystem, and a generation of young professionals ready to compete on the global stage. We are pleased to see strong interest expressed byAmerican businesses and firmly believe this marks the beginning of a long-term partnership.”  

Discussions focused on Uzbekistan’s investment opportunities, the advantages of its local IT market, and the successes of companies already operating in the country. IT Park representatives delivered presentations highlighting the country’s modern IT infrastructure, its multilingual workforce, and extensive workforce — all aligning with the demands of international markets.   

Julia Collins, Co-Founder of Truss, shared her firsthand experience hiring Uzbek IT professionals for American clients, emphasizing their high level of professionalism, cost-effectiveness, and strong technical capabilities. 

Michael Asher, President and COO of RFA, discussed the strategic motivations behind his company’s expansion into Uzbekistan, affirming the country’s reputation as a reliable outsourcing destination. 

Several U.S. companies, including Headway BPO, Prutech, Protego Trust Bank, Wipro, Quay Acceleration, and InTouch CX, expressed serious interest in entering the Uzbek market.   

During the U.S. visit, meetings were also held with major technology companies and a venture studio. 

OnSpot Global 

A notable meeting took place with Jake Weinberg, founder and President of OnSpot Global. The parties explored opportunities for OnSpot’s expansion into Central Asia, including opening an office and obtaining IT Park Uzbekistan member status. Mr. Weinberg conveyed particular interest in the availability of highly skilled technical professionals in Uzbekistan, highlighting the need for qualified personnel to expand the company’s services.     

Founded in 2021, OnSpot Global delivers customized BPO solutions to clients in the United States and United Kingdom, supporting cost optimization and operational efficiency. With a revenue of $50 million and teams based in New York, the Philippines, and Costa Rica, the company serves dozens of clients worldwide.     

Raphael Group    

During discussions with Raphael Azizov, Founder of Raphael Group, the parties explored plans to launch operations in Uzbekistan.

The parties explored opportunities for Raphael Group to enter the Uzbek market. Azizov noted that Uzbekistan holds strategic interest, particularly due to its highly qualified IT specialists and favorable conditions for foreign investors.    

Founded in 2013 in New York, Raphael Group is a venture studio and investment firm specializing in the development of technology startups. The company offers not only funding but also expert support, global resources, and access to strategic partnerships. It currently employs over 100 professionals.    

HCLTech 

The conference also facilitated a constructive dialogue with Subramaniam Baskaran, Vice President of HCLTech.  

The parties explored prospects for HCLTech’s expansion into Uzbekistan, particularly within the domains of fintech and outsourcing. Mr. Baskaran expressed interest in visiting Uzbekistan this year.   

HCLTech, a global technology company with a presence in 59 countries and a workforce exceeding 225,000. The company provides industry-leading solutions in digital technology, engineering, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and software development — supported by a broad portfolio of technological services and products.     

Aristo AI 

In a meeting with Kanan Mehrizadeh, Co-Founder of Aristo AI, discussions centered on Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem, opportunities for participation in acceleration programs, and establishing connections with local venture capital funds to facilitate entry into new markets.     

Aristo AI is an artificial intelligence platform with $250 million in revenue, specializing in fintech solutions.     

The participation of IT Park Uzbekistan in the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, alongside the series of strategic meetings held during the visit, marked a significant step toward the international integration of Uzbekistan’s IT sector. By fostering global partnerships and promoting the country as a hub for digital solutions, IT Park is laying the groundwork for long-term growth, export development, and global recognition of Uzbek talent.
