Digital Internship Program for women kicks off

A new project “Digital Internship Program” (DIP), a program for female IT graduates and young entry-level specialists has been launched in Tashkent.

DIP is a joint initiative of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, IT Park, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and UNDP aims supporting the further development of the digital economy in Uzbekistan, empowering young people, especially women, by building digital entrepreneurship skills, digital tools and improving the enabling environment for promoting IT careers among young women.

The event was attended by DIP project curator Muyassar Shermatova, IT Park hr managers Zafar Mirsamadov and Shakhnoza Amirkhanova, representatives of IT companies who expressed their readiness to accept young specialists for internships with further employment opportunities, as well as candidates who have passed the selection stages of the DIP program.

Muyassar Shermatova spoke about the main directions of the program, and HR specialists shared their opinion on how to behave in an interview in order to get a dream job. After that, the heads of IT companies spoke about the activities of enterprises and working conditions.

The program of the event also included an informal part — a pizza-party, during which the project participants built communication in order to establish networking.

Recall that the selection of candidates consisted of 2 stages: the first stage included test tasks of a general and narrow profile orientation; the second one was held in the format of an interview with the participation of IT Park and IT companies.
