A new meeting within the IT-club for women "GAP" will be held in Jizzakh

In recent years, Uzbekistan has paid special attention to the position of women in society. Various projects are being created to support womenʼs entrepreneurship and womenʼs education, trainings and much more are being held.

The IT sphere is also not left unattended – projects are being created in the country to involve girls and women in the in-demand IT industry and events are being held that are designed to show that women can also work in this area.

One of such projects is the IT club for women “GAP”, initiated by the Ministry of Digital Technologies in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan.

The GAP project is aimed at attracting women to the field of information technology. The mission of the club is to support women, increase their literacy in IT and provide them with training and employment opportunities in the field of IT.

 Within the framework of the club, several meetings have already been held, where expert girls spoke about their successes in the field of IT and inspired the invited guests with their example. The long-awaited fourth meeting of the project will take place on April 8. In order to expand the geography of activities, the event will be moved to the Jizzakh region – the meeting will be held at Sambhram University in the city of Jizzakh.

In the official part of the meeting, Adviser to the Minister of Digital Technologies Kamola Sobirova and First Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation of Jizzakh Sambhram University Nargiza Sаlieva will make a welcoming speech.

 Further performances are expected within the framework of the program:

  • Makhliyo Muksinova – Deputy Director of IT Park Uzbekistan for Education Development, who will speak about existing and future projects to increase the digital literacy of women, as well as about the many opportunities and prospects in the IT field;
  • Akida Mohirova (Akida Khanum) – blogger, activist and human rights activist, who will speak about strengthening the role of women in the political, economic and social life of societies;
  • Malika Zukhritdinova - director of Magmastore company, who will tell the participants how to create large IT projects, manage a team and develop your own companies.

The unofficial part of the program will include Ideathon – a competition of projects and ideas. Within the framework of this part, the participants will form teams, generate and offer their own solutions, which will help them create their own projects in the future.
