Alibaba launches the international contest "Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020"!

As a result of recent events in the world related to the pandemic, the economies of all countries are facing various difficulties.

Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020 is an international competition from Alibaba for young people around the world to create business solutions to mitigate the effects of the pandemic and help people in all spheres of daily life.

Alibaba GET (global e-Commerce Talent) is in Uzbekistan.

Global e-Commerce Talent is the educational division of Alibaba Group and develops and promotes e-commerce educational projects among entrepreneurs and youth around the world.

Alibaba Group has vast experience in international e-commerce and is the leader of this sphere.

Wishing to share their experience, Alibaba GET together with China Campus Network, IT Park, the Center for Support of Youth Entrepreneurship of Uzbekistan, Startup Initiatives and Accelerator Lab of UNDP are glad to invite to participate in the contest "Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020" startup projects related to IT-sphere, from Uzbekistan.

The aim of the competition is to share the positive impact of the new business paradigm, promote inclusive development, inspire and empower young people and entrepreneurs, promote the digital transformation of organizations, industries and societies.

The "Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020" competition includes several stages and is held in an online format.

IT projects meeting the objectives of the competition are invited. Everyone from 18 to 30 years of age can take part. Participants will unite into teams of 3-5 people. In addition, you must have at least one English-speaking member in a team, as the competition will be held in English.

The main prize of the international competition is 14 000$ and a fully paid trip to Alibaba's head office. Moreover, for all participants of competition trainings and seminars for development of the business will be held. The finalists will be provided with personal trainers who are experienced specialists of Alibaba.

The first online training for the selected 36 teams of Uzbekistan will take place on May 23, 2020.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until May 21, 2020.
