Bangladesh outsourcing companies are expanding their activities in the Uzbek market in cooperation with IT Park

On September 2, 2021, a delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh headed by the Minister of ICT of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Zunaid Ahmed Palak and Adviser to the Prime Minister for Private Business and Investment of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Salman Fazlur Rahman visited IT Park.

In the meeting participated Adviser to the Prime Minister - Head of the Department for the Development of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Innovation Activities of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Umarov, Political Advisor Sami Ahmed, President of the Bangladesh Call Center and Outsourcing Association Vahid Sharif, and Director of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov, Deputy Director of IT Park for International Affairs Bohodir Ayupov and others.

During the meeting, IT Park presented to guests current activities and development of the information technology sector in Uzbekistan in general. The guests, in turn, spoke about their activities. The Uzbek side positively noted the same measures for the development of the IT market of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Both countries use similar tools to stimulate ICT development. The development of the IT sector in Bangladesh in terms of preferences, support for IT companies and much more is absolutely similar to the support that IT Park provides today.

It is worth noting that today the outsourcing of IT services in the People's Republic of Bangladesh is at a developed level, which Uzbekistan is also striving for.

The parties also noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh will be delivered in such a way that Uzbekistan becomes, first of all, an opportunity, a good platform for Bangladesh IT companies that plan to enter other countries of Central Asia and the CIS.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to open Bangladeshi IT companies in Uzbekistan together with IT Park residents, as well as train local specialists, actively develop BPO and jointly enter the markets of other countries. Thus, local and Bangladeshi IT companies will be able to expand their activities in Uzbekistan and export to other Central Asian and CIS countries through Uzbekistan.
