Collaborating with Yandex for Youth IT Employment Opportunities

Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, convened with the CEO of Yandex Business Group, Daniil Shuleyko. Emphasis was placed on strategic cooperation directions and the company’s development in the digital technology domain in Uzbekistan.

Proposals regarding to artificial intelligence advancement, collaboration in e- government, and IT education were deliberated upon.  

Furthermore, the opportunities afforded to youth in Uzbekistan were highly esteemed during the meeting. Notably, the IT park initiative — “Zero Risk” garnered substantial interest among the company’s leadership, leading to a Q&A session on this matter.   

The minister underscored the imperative of generating reputable employment opportunities for the burgeoning population of the country.

Heightened demand for the development of IT products and remote work was acknowledged. For this purpose, issues concerning the engagement of youth entering Uzbekistan’s labor market to remote work and their involvement in lucrative positions were also discussed.   

Moreover, comprehensive insights were provided on supporting IT companies, tax incentives, coupled with an emphasis on the pivotal role of IT education.

Representatives of the company delineated their strategic visions and ongoing initiatives geared towards fostering a conducive environment within Uzbekistan’s IT sphere, alongside unveiling novel projects.
