The company has ambitious plans to expand its presence in Uzbekistan. The purpose of the meeting was to consolidate efforts in increasing the export volume of IT services and attracting foreign capital to the region.
Representatives from the Malaysian company, headed by Matthew Barsing, discussed strategic directions for collaboration and future plans with their Uzbek counterparts. Key attention was given to initiatives aimed at employing young professionals proficient in foreign languages. The company’s plans include active involvement in educational programs and support for the region’s IT talent pool.
Malaysia currently serves as a strategic partner to Uzbekistan, particularly in the information technology sector. Discussions at the meeting highlighted plans to attract leading Malaysian IT and outsourcing companies to the Syrdarya region, which would provide employment opportunities for the youth and boost regional export volumes. Matthew Basing underscored the importance of this partnership for the region’s development.
Additionally, an agreement was reached to host the “Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference” in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of this year, which is expected to attract over 100 companies specializing in outsourcing, Fintech, and AI.
Uzbekistan is actively working to enhance its investment climate, offering various incentives and programs to support businesses. The country holds the top position in the international safety index, making it an attractive destination for investors and tourists. Representatives from EPS Ventures acknowledged the hospitality of the Uzbek people and the country’s rich history, which significantly bolsters the nation’s appeal to international partners.
