The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, collaboration with IT Park and IT Academy, with the support of the Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for the CIS Region and the Association of People with Disabilities of Uzbekistan, has developed guidelines to ensure the accessibility of web content, particularly, recommendations for creating a web-sites that are convenient for everybody, including people with disabilities.
For creating a website this guide includes 4 principles:
Principle 1 – Perceptibility: Information and user interface components should only be presented in a way that users can perceive.
Principle 2 – manageability: UI and navigation components must be manageable.
Principle 3 – Comprehensibility: The information and operations of the user interface must be understandable.
Principle 4 – Reliability: Content must be reliable to the extent required for interpretation by a wide range of different user applications, including assistive technologies.
