IT Park Uzbekistan continues to attract young and promising professionals by welcoming five students currently pursuing their studies abroad under the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation’s scholarship program, who joined IT Park last week.
The “El-yurt umidi” Foundation, operating under the Agency for Development of Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was established to support the education and professional development of highly qualified personnel abroad. The program enables talented citizens to study and undertake internships at leading international universities and institutions, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the development of Uzbekistan’s key sectors upon their return.
Three of the interns are currently assigned to IT Park’s regional office in Karakalpakstan, while two are based at the headquarters in Tashkent. Notably, two of the students are undertaking their second internship at IT Park Uzbekistan, having previously distinguished themselves as motivated and capable individuals. IT Park is considering the future employment of these scholars in strategic departments such as member company relations, startup development, and regional initiatives.
Humoyun Shukhratov, currently interning in the Department for Startup Ecosystem Development and Venture Investments, shared his experience:
“I am a fourth-year student at the University of Arizona, majoring in Information and Computer Sciences, and expect to graduate this winter.
I chose to intern at IT Park because I am passionate about working with startups. It is an inspiring and dynamic environment that fosters my growth. Presently, I am involved in the ‘President Tech Award 2025’ project. What I find most fulfilling is the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the internal processes driving innovation-focused enterprises.”
Diyorbek Ergashev, also a student at the University of Arizona, is currently interning in the Member Company Relations Department:
“During my internship at IT Park, I am engaged in reviewing reports submitted by member companies, providing consultations, and helping enhance the quality of submitted information. I actively communicate with company representatives and am eager to better understand the internal processes of member company support.
Technology and IT are areas I am deeply passionate about, both academically and practically. This internship at IT Park has provided me with valuable exposure to real-world challenges and the opportunity to interact with tech companies in Uzbekistan. The environment here is inspiring and motivates me to pursue further growth in this field.”
Additionally, Davranbek Qadirimbetov, Azizbek Tolybekov (both students at the University of Arizona), and Ayzhamal Kurbanbaeva (a student at the University of Birmingham) are interning at the regional IT Park office in Nukus within the Project Management Department. Their responsibilities include attracting international, export-oriented companies to Uzbekistan. In their spare time, they are also working on the development of a tourism-focused startup.
IT Park Uzbekistan greatly values its collaboration with the “El-yurt umidi” Foundation and support for young professionals. We firmly believe that such initiatives play a crucial role in building a robust national IT ecosystem and unlocking the potential of a new generation of digital leaders.
