IT Park and ACIR Southern Europe discuss joint projects

On June 19, Regional Director of ACIR Southern Europe Miguel de la Cruz visited IT Park Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the ICT direction of Uzbekistan, discuss future cooperation with IT Park and the possibility of signing a memorandum.

Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulahad Kuchkarov and Head of Department for International Relations and Investments Nigora Mirdzhalilova met the guest and presented the activities of the organization to him.

Miguel de la Cruz was interested in organizing joint projects, as well as in opening a representative office of ACIR Southern Europe in Uzbekistan. He noted that the main directions in this representative office could be investment and tourism – the company is already cooperating in this direction with 5 countries: Andorra, Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal.

The parties also discussed the possibility of organizing joint educational and institutional projects, for example, summer business courses and courses with a hybrid learning system. As an example, Miguel de la Cruz suggested considering ACIR Southern Europe as a link with leading business schools in Europe, such as IESE Business School (University of Navarra). Such programs already exist in Kazakhstan, he added.

Representatives of IT Park offered to organize an investment seminar in Madrid in November as part of the event “Days of Uzbekistan” in Valencia to demonstrate the investment potential and opportunities in the field of information technology in Uzbekistan.
