The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation took part in the Singapore Fintech Festival, showcasing the country’s tech industry and connecting with key stakeholders and exploring opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Singapore Fintech Festival is Asia’s largest financial and technology event, which brings together industry leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the future of fintech, innovation, and digital transformation.

On the first day of the festival, the IT Park team engaged in meetings with leading international companies, including BEENEXT Venture Capital, Offchain Global, Singapore Fintech Association, QAI Ventures, Capritaur Ventures, BAJO Digital Ventures, Ploutos Strategic, Ant Group, Maj Invest, eRemit, and PwC. These discussions aimed to expand partnership networks and attract investment into Uzbekistan’s burgeoning startup ecosystem, reinforcing the country’s position as a dynamic and promising destination for global tech and innovation.

BEENEXT Venture Capital

The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation met with Teruhide Sato, Founder of BEENEXT, a major venture capital firm. During the meeting, IT Park shared insights into Uzbekistan’s burgeoning startup ecosystem, emphasizing the support and incentives available for foreign investors interested in the market. Mr. Sato expressed interest in visiting Uzbekistan to explore investment opportunities and assess the local startup landscape. Both parties agreed to continue discussions around potential projects that may align with BEENEXT’s investment focus.

Founded by Teruhide Sato, BEENEXT is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage tech companies across Japan, Southeast Asia, and India, supporting innovative startups with the potential for growth and global impact.

During the Singapore Fintech Festival, the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation met with Eva Shulenina, Founder of Offchain Global. Eva shared her extensive experience supporting startups in Monaco and France, particularly through organizing competitions and initiatives in Blockchain and AI. She expressed interest in expanding these opportunities to Uzbekistan, aiming to help local startups connect and collaborate with peers in Monaco and France, fostering international growth and partnerships.

Offchain Global, founded by Eva Shulenina, specializes in supporting and connecting startups in Blockchain and AI. Through initiatives such as competitions and collaborative programs, Offchain Global bridges the gap between emerging and established markets, promoting innovation and partnerships across borders.

Also the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation met with Andrew Loke, Head of Funding Operations at the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA), a prominent organization supporting fintech and cross-sector businesses. Andrew shared SFA's effective model of organizing 1-week mission trips to specific countries to promote collaboration and uncover business opportunities. Both parties discussed the possibility of implementing similar initiatives in Singapore to help Uzbek founders and startups engage with the global fintech ecosystem. They agreed to continue discussions on potential collaboration avenues moving forward.

The Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) is a leading organization dedicated to fostering growth and innovation in the fintech industry. Through initiatives like mission trips and global partnerships, SFA connects businesses and supports fintech development, bridging local and international markets.

eRemit

Additionally the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation met with Mr. Santhosh Nair, Head of eRemit, a leading money transaction company. The meeting was productive, with Mr. Nair expressing strong interest in establishing a presence in Uzbekistan, recognizing the country’s growing IT sector and the potential for innovation in transaction services. Key points of discussion included the tax exemption policies provided by IT Park, which Mr. Nair viewed as a strategic advantage for eRemit’s potential entry into the Uzbek market.
