IT Park Ventures Discusses Partnership with SkyStone Games During U.S. Visit

In San Francisco, representatives of IT Park Ventures met with Bill Wang, Co-Founder of U.S.-based SkyStone Games, a recognized game publisher and co-developer for the global market.

SkyStone Games was established by industry veterans including Jeff Pobst (Founder of Hidden Path Entertainment) and Bill Wang (former senior executive at Perfect World). The company specializes in publishing indie and midcore titles, collaborates with ByteDance (owner of TikTok), and maintains extensive connections across the Asian and global gaming landscape.

During the meeting, Azzamat Karamatov, CEO of IT Park Ventures, presented Uzbekistan’s value proposition for the gaming industry. Key advantages include: 0% tax rate for IT companies, free office spaces and IT visas, a rapidly growing game development community (ranked #1 in Central Asia), opportunities for localization, publishing, and support in CIS and MENA markets.

Bill Wang expressed interest in expanding SkyStone’s presence in Central Asia and exploring the creation of a regional hub focused on game development, quality assurance, and support. Both sides acknowledged the potential for collaboration with local studios and discussed joint investment opportunities. They also agreed to explore the launch of a SkyStone Games regional center in Uzbekistan.

SkyStone Games was invited to take part in ICT Week, which will be held in Tashkent this September, and to explore potential co-investments in local game development projects.

This meeting reinforces Uzbekistan’s growing role as an emerging destination for the global gaming industry. Partnerships with companies like SkyStone Games open new opportunities for local developers and further strengthen the country’s position in digital exports.
