Member companies of IT Park will be able to open bank accounts remotely

On 11 November 2025, a resolution of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan entered into force, enabling foreign founders of member companies of IT Park, as well as their foreign employees, to open bank accounts and bank cards remotely.

Under the updated procedure, IT Park member companies with foreign founders may now open bank accounts online, without the need for an in-person visit to a bank branch. The same mechanism applies to foreign specialists employed by IT Park member companies.

In accordance with Presidential Resolution RP-286, several significant amendments have been introduced to the banking service framework for IT Park members, aimed at simplifying procedures and accelerating their digital transformation:

  • Foreign founders of legal entities that are member companies of IT Park may now open bank accounts while located outside the Republic of Uzbekistan.
  • Foreign specialists working in IT Park member companies who have obtained a PINFL through Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad may open bank accounts and virtual bank cards online.
  • Signature specimens may be submitted in electronic form, eliminating the requirement for paper documents.
  • All procedures — from initial registration to account activation — are conducted entirely in a digital format.

These changes make banking services for IT Park members more flexible, modern, and efficient, substantially accelerating account-opening processes, salary payments, and reducing administrative barriers.

This decision creates more favorable conditions for foreign professionals and further strengthens Uzbekistan’s position as a global hub for digital technologies and IT outsourcing.
