Minister for ICT met with Founding partner of Reface and Roosh Ventures

On June 20, Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov met in New York with the founding partner of Reface and Roosh Ventures, Sergey Tokarev. Deputy Minister of Public Education Rustam Karimjonov and CEO of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov also attended the meeting.

The discussion of projects in IT and medicine were on the agenda. During the meeting, Sherzod Shermatov noted that Uzbekistan occupies high positions in a number of world rankings. He added that the country aims to become the largest regional IT hub and every effort is put in place to achieve this goal.

The CEO of IT Park told foreign colleagues about the favorable business climate created for IT companies in Uzbekistan. In particular, about the relocation program and the privileges that IT Park resident companies receive.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation. In addition, the CEO of IT Park officially invited representatives of the fund to the ICT week, which takes place in October this year in Uzbekistan.
