One Million Uzbek Coders and List of Nanodegree Grants Winners

The One Million Uzbek Coders project is a free online platform that is set to train IT specialties.

It’s worth reminding that the current project in Uzbekistan is being accomplished by the Ministry for Development of Information Technology and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, the IT Academy under IT Park, Inha University in Tashkent and the IT School named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy.

The project is a free distance learning for the general population through a specialized online platform.

The objective of the program is to train a generation of specialists engaged in digital technologies, equipped with all the tools and sustaining programming skills.

At the initial stage, it will cover the four most in-need specialties in the global labor market: Data Analytics, Android Development, FrontEnd Development, and FullStack Development. The general course is designed for 120 hours of training. The result of each level will be the preparation of laboratory work and the receipt of appropriate certificates.

The platform was launched on November 21, 2019, and after 120-hours-training, the first exam for all students had been arranged on March 1, 2020.

In total, 116 program participants registered for the exam. 51 students were able to pass to the next stage.
