Over 400 students paid visit IT Park

On January 26, 2020, more than 400 students from the Surkhandarya region headed by the same region mayor Tura Bobolov, deputy mayor, delegates and representatives of the Youth Union as well as the creative intelligentsia of the region visited IT Park.

They have been introduced to the IT Park activities to what based on today 22 IT centers throughout Uzbekistan are functioning. It is reported that in 2020 another 60 IT Centers will be opened to support the IT education of the young generation of Uzbekistan and provide them with the necessary infrastructure and knowledge to start a career in the field of information technology.

Young people expressed interest in IT Park incubation and acceleration programs where highly qualified mentors and trackers help inspiring IT entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and turn them into real business products.

IT Park projects have also drew considerable attention, such as: the republican contest among students to develop mobile applications with a prize fund worth to $ 100,000 – “mGovAward” and the online platform for receiving free IT education in Uzbek language One million Uzbek Coders.

IT Park  staff also conducted a tour for students and they talked about the purpose of classrooms, lecture hall and equipment, and highlighted future infrastructure is being built on these days in order by 2022 over 16 thousand young professionals would receive worthful jobs.
