From June 14th to 16th of this year, IT Park participated in the "Leaders Round Table" and the "Science Forum" at the Asian Technopark Summit "Science Park Inno Fair 2023" held in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea.
As a result of this trip, Uzbekistan introduced IT Park as a new IT hub and established connections with major technoparks, associations, and companies from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Malaysia.
During the summit, the IT Park delegation held a series of meetings with prominent organizations, corporations, and technoparks such as the "Asian Science Park Association," "Geongbuk Technopark," "Hsinchu Science Park," "Daegu Technopark," "Telkom University," "Bandung Techno Park," "Science Park of Mongolia," and "Kyoto Research Park."
IT Park and the Asian Science Park Association (ASPA) agreed to organize a business visit to Uzbekistan. As a result, in the coming autumn, 20 Korean IT and BPO companies expressed interest in visiting Uzbekistan to establish collaborations with local IT companies. Specifically, Korean businesses plan to delegate tasks to Uzbek companies.
Simultaneously, IT Park's partner in Korea, "Gyeongbuk Technopark," expressed readiness to jointly organize a visit of Korean BPO companies to the "ICT Week Uzbekistan - 2023." The purpose of this visit will be to familiarize themselves with Uzbekistan's dynamic IT market and establish important partnership relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, during the summit, a meeting took place with representatives from "Hsinchu Science Park," a technopark from Taiwan and one of the world's largest technoparks. The parties discussed the possibility of bringing companies from "Hsinchu Science Park" into the Uzbek market and increasing IT exports from Uzbekistan to Taiwan. Both sides expressed readiness to sign official agreements after working out the collaboration mechanism.
On the sidelines of the summit, IT Park signed Memoranda of Cooperation with technoparks from three countries: Indonesia, Korea, and Mongolia.
