The opening ceremony of the republican project “mGovAward 2021” has taken place!

On december 11, 2021, the opening ceremony of the second wave of the republican project for the development of state mobile applications “mGovAward 2021” was held online.

The Director of the Department for Development of Public Services of the UAE Mr. Salim Shami, Deputy Director of IT Park Jahongir Rajabov, Head of the Department for Development of the IT Park Startup Ecosystem Farrukh Maksumov, Head of the Department of the Electronic Government Center of Uzbekistan Aziz Kayumov, as well as the winner of the first wave of mGovAward Mehrozhzhon  Amrikulov, who took second place with the Imam Bukhari project, Epam Systems product manager Nuriddin Iminohunov and others attended the opening ceremony.









During the event, the ceremony participants learned about the concept of the competition, the importance of digitalization of public services and current trends in this area.  Also, the winner of the first wave of the competition, Mehrozhzhon Amrikulov, spoke about his experience of participation and the achievements he was able to achieve thanks to the competition.

 “MGovAward 2021” is a large-scale republican competition, the participants of which must develop a mobile application in one of 8 directions:

  1. Education;

  2. Healthcare;

  3. Tourism;

  4. Transport and logistics;

  5. Entrepreneurship;

  6. Ecology and clean energy;

  7. Finance and taxes;

  8. Legislation.

Students of universities, as well as students of general education and secondary special schools of Uzbekistan can take part in the competition.

The organizers of the competition are IT Park, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Government of the UAE, as well as the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The prize fund of the competition is $ 100,000:

  1st place - $ 50,000;

  2nd place - $ 30,000;

  3rd place - $ 20,000.

  To take part in the competition, you need:

  Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  Result and efficiency – 35%

  • This criterion will assess the value of the application to users, time savings, audience size and the number of services offered.

  Innovation – 25%

  • The criterion will assess the uniqueness and potential for implementation in public services and services.

  Convenience – 30%

  • The criterion will evaluate the usability of the application, user interface and user experience.

  Implementation – 10%

  • The criterion assesses the potential for the implementation and editing of an application for the needs of society.
