The final stage of the competition was attended by 245 people with innovative ideas.  One of the winner in the direction of “information technology and innovation” was the manager of start-up projects of the Khorezm branch of IT Park Sevara Polvonova, who is also a student of the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.

Sevara Polvonova during her career has held many competitions, events, and seminars to support start-up projects among young people.  She participated in the competition “100 ideas for Uzbekistan” with the Speak With Me project and entered the “Top-100 advanced representatives of youth in Uzbekistan”, where she was awarded a cash prize, a diploma, and memorable gifts.

The main goal of the Speak With Me project is to create a single educational platform for hearing-impaired citizens across the country and anyone who wants to learn sign language.  There are more than 300 sign language languages in the world, including Uzbek sign language, but at the moment it is not as developed as others.  The Speak With Me project is addressing this problem.

The project has a web and mobile application in which you can quickly learn sign language using gamification.  In addition, additional lessons, information on Covid-19, opportunities, and news generated for our hearing-impaired citizens will soon be uploaded to the platform.
