The Central Asian Business Expo-2025 international exhibition took place in the United States. Within the framework of the event, a series of bilateral meetings were held with representatives of leading American companies. During these meetings, detailed information was presented on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's information technology sector, the favorable conditions being created for foreign investors, and successfully implemented projects.
Central Asian Business Expo is an international platform designed to foster business cooperation among Central Asian countries, bringing together leading global companies, investors, and government institutions. The 2024 edition of the expo was organized at the initiative of IT Park and served to promote Uzbekistan’s IT sector and outsourcing capabilities on the global stage.
In particular, presentations were delivered on the Zero Risk initiative, the IT Visa program, and the Enterprise Uzbekistan platform.
Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, delivered the keynote address, in which he outlined the country’s strategic priorities in developing digital infrastructure, enhancing its outsourcing potential, and expanding international partnerships.
The program also included meetings with members of the Uzbek diaspora based in the United States, as well as with executives of companies operating in the logistics sector and other industries. Discussions focused on exploring promising avenues for collaboration in the IT domain.
Following these engagements, several U.S. companies expressed strong interest in Uzbekistan’s growing IT market and confirmed their readiness to explore potential areas for cooperation and launch joint projects in the near future.
Furthermore, Minister Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Susana A. Mendoza, Comptroller of the State of Illinois. The parties discussed the prospects for advancing Uzbekistan’s IT sector and initiatives aimed at supporting youth in the digital economy.
