On March 31, IT Park Uzbekistan was visited by the Head of the China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO Member States – Zhao Zhongyuan, jointly with representatives of the International Trade and Investment Company “Consult Invest ITIC”.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of IT Park and the China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO Member States, as well as discuss the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of IT and BPO.
The delegation included Zhao Zhongyuan – Head of the China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO Member States, Director of Qingdao Aston Engineering Technology Transfer Co., Ltd, Bogdanova Yulia Sergeyevna – Head of the International Cooperation Department of the China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO, Kim Denis Vitalyevich – Director of International trade and investment company “Consult Invest ITIC”, Rustamov Farrukh Avazovich – Deputy Director of the company “Consult Invest ITIC”.
The guests were welcomed by the Deputy Director for Innovation Jahongir Radjabov, the Head of the Investment and International Relations Department of IT Park Nigora Mirjalilova and the Head of the Startup Ecosystem Development Department Jahongir Kagirov.
During the meeting, representatives of IT Park told their foreign colleagues about the measures taken by the government to transform the country as a regional IT hub.
The guests were given a presentation on the main activities of IT Park, in particular: on the support and initiatives that come from the government of Uzbekistan for the development of the IT sector in the economy, on human capital and the potential of the Central Asian region, as well as on the young population of Uzbekistan, around which implements the entire strategy for improving this industry.
During the meeting, government support for the development of IT and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), and the task set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to further develop a favorable business climate were considered. The parties also discussed the provision of a free economic zone to resident companies, the work on reforming IT education and the creation of a large flow of young IT specialists.
During the meeting, much attention was paid to the issues of expanding cooperation in the development of a startup ecosystem and the exchange of experience in the development of youth entrepreneurship in the field of ICT.
The Head of the China Technology Transfer Center of the SCO Member States noted the positive changes that have taken place in the IT sector of Uzbekistan in recent years.
The parties shared plans for international projects and expressed interest in participating in joint projects aimed at developing relations between Uzbekistan and China in the field of information technology.
Following the dialogue, the parties agreed to continue expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and specific projects
