Webinars start as part of the Open Data Challenge Hackathon

From January 27 to 29, the Open Data Challenge hackathon will be held in the capital city, organized by IT Park in cooperation with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan and the IT company “Virtual Group” with the support of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Anti-Corruption Agency and Akfa University.

In 2023, it is planned to hold a contest preliminary in 4 areas:

public sector;

social sector;

business sector;

anti-corruption.

For hackathon participants, it is planned to hold special webinars in areas with involved experts on the use of open data. Before the start of the hackathon, participants will have 4 webinars in the directions and 1 open data workshop. Webinars schedule:

1. January 17 at 17:00 – public sector

Speaker: Head of the Department of Monitoring and Coordination of the Open Data Portal of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akrom Sultanov.

Webinar topic: Formation of open data through work with government agencies. Using open data to solve problems in the public sector.

2. January 18 at 17:00 – social sector

Speaker: Chairman of the Board of the Association of Internet E-Commerce Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan, founder of the unions.uz digital platform, aspiring tracker, Pro bono volunteer Sabina Akbarkhojaeva.

Webinar topic: Existing problems in the sector, existing social projects, where and what open data can be used in project development.

3. January 19 at 17:00 — business sector

Speaker: Anvar Narzullaev – CEO at Mohirdev.uz

Webinar topic: Using open data to create a startup in the field of AI.

4. January 20 at 17:00 – anti-corruption

Speaker: Chief Inspector of the Department for Ensuring the Openness of State Bodies and Organizations Kakhramon Niyazkhajaev.

Webinar topic: What are the problems in the field of anti-corruption and what solutions have already been made with the help of open data?
