A selection of online projects relating to IT Park Uzbekistan

While most of the world is under quarantine and in a number of countries access to offline courses, schools, universities and so forth is  limited, we propose you not to despair and engage in self-development. Particularly, if you are keen of information technology or want to create your own startup so that you don’t depend on anyone else. Plus, IT specialties and IT businesses are gaining more and more markets, and so experts say also confidently that IT  is the future of the whole world.

IT Park started its lifecycle on July 24, 2019, during this period of time, it managed to release 12 startup teams in various fields, ranging from E-commerce and ending with AgroTech, launched a dozen projects including contests, hackathons, and workshops, and meetings and so on, arranged one of the largest IT conferences in Uzbekistan - StarTTech. To date, 23 startup teams are being trained in IT Park, and numerous projects are being implemented where you can also take part online:

1) One Million Uzbek Coders: did you want to enroll in programming courses for a long time, but had no time for? Then this free online platform for training IT specialties in four relevant areas: Data Analytics, Android Development, FrontEnd Development and FullStack Development is especially for you.

The project in Uzbekistan is carried out by the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, the IT Academy under IT Park, Inha University in Tashkent and the Muhammad al-Khorazmiy IT School. Training goes in the Uzbek language. After passing the second stage, you can sign up for an exam that will reveal  150 best students of the platform who receives Nanodegree grants from Udacity (Microsoft) to continue their studies.

         2) Online Pre-Accelerator is a free educational program in Uzbek for beginners in the IT field. The online course consists of short and informative author’s video lessons in which successful entrepreneurs and specialists of Uzbekistan give lectures and give master classes.

    The main topic the course covering are: creating a successful team, competent project management, creating MVP, market research, creating a business plan, registering a company, attracting investments; so this program can be useful to everyone, regardless of skill level.

3) Open Sessions is open to all enthusiasts who already savvy in IT or are just keen of this area, lectures and conferences on the Zoom platform. The program will last throughout the quarantine; during the sessions, lectures from specialists from Uzbekistan, India, Russia and other countries will be held.

4) Quarantine Cup is an eSports online tournament in two disciplines - FIFA and Counter Strike: Global Offensive to be held on April 26-28, 2020. Everyone can join the tournament, there are also three winning places in both fields.

5) Startup Advice is  “happy hours” project, arranged with the Venture Investment Association of Uzbekistan, where everyone can present their project to leading IT Park video call experts and get valuable advice. The promotion is valid on Tuesdays from 16:00.

•  Open Online Pitch is a joint project with the Venture Investment Association of Uzbekistan dedicated to weekly open online pitches (presentations to investors). Within this project scope, startup founders can present their ideas in open online format to local and foreign venture investors, venture capital funds, and business angels.

7) Startap Yangiliklar is a podcast project in Uzbek language about investments, startups, information technologies, innovations and marketing, created in partnership with the Venture Investment Association of Uzbekistan. The platform serves not only to broadcast news, but also to sharing experiences between startup projects in Uzbekistan.
