The “Yuksalish” nationwide movement, together with the Institute of Social and Economic Initiatives, has been publishing a rating of promising leaders in Uzbekistan under 40 since 2019. Every year this list grows and replenishes with new personnel.
This year, this rating includes: First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos, Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Egamberdiyev, Director of IT Park Farhod Ibragimov, Rector of Amity University in Tashkent Bobur Abdullayev and Rector Inha University in Tashkent Muzaffar Jalalov.
The original list included more than a hundred leaders of various levels. The formation of the final rating took place in 2 stages.
During the first stage, experts from civil society, think tanks and the media assessed the performance of leaders in achieving strategic goals and objectives in their field. When compiling the list of applicants, education, recognition of leaders among the public, activity in social networks, their level of participation and influence on the reform agenda, as well as personal and professional achievements were taken into account.
At the second stage, the voting of experts from different fields took place. Of the more than 60 candidates who made it to the final round, TOP-40 leaders under 40 were selected, who received the most votes from experts.
Recall that the Director of IT Park was first included in the list of TOP-40 leaders in November 2020.
