BPO School will open in Muynak with the support of IT Park

From February 7 to 9, 2022, the IT Park delegation headed by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov paid a working visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

During the visit, the delegation discussed in detail the activities of the IT technical school, which will house the temporary branch of IT Park, took part in the opening of the incubation center, and also held a meeting with the leadership of the Nukus branch of TUIT at the IT-Center “Future Muynak”.

The parties identified ways to develop IT-education in the region and came to the conclusion to create a new BPO school in “Future Muynak” to provide young people with the opportunity to learn English and work for outsourcing.

BPO School is a specialized school for learning how to work in the logistics industry.  At the first stage, 20 students will be able to study at this school, who will take a month-long course, study the features of working in a BPO-company and work in foreign markets in large companies of our country.

In addition, IT Park representatives interviewed candidates for the position of trainers in these schools.  The main requirements for future coaches, as in other regions, were professional English and communication skills.  After the selection, the selected specialists will take a specialized course in Tashkent to improve their qualifications and begin teaching in the field of BPO.

It can be noted that a total of 3255 students studied in 17 IT-Centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, of which 456 are included in the iron, youth and women's notebooks.  The region is actively implementing such projects as “ITWomenUz”, which trained about 400 women, Future Skills Uzbekistan, Meros, and of course, One Million Uzbek Coders, a free online platform for learning the basics of information technology, which has already trained 121,624 students.

One of the young talents of the Republic is also Vlada Zuyeva.  Vlada was born in 2006 and is a native of the city of Muynak.  At the age of 15, she has already managed to receive many awards, for example, certificates for the title of the best speaker of Karakalpakstan and a participant in the “Xippo” Olympiad.

In the seventh grade, she managed to win the championship in the English language Olympiad, and this year she took an honorable second place and received an invitation to the republican stage.

Representatives of IT Park organized a meeting of talented youth of the region with the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, where Vlada also took part.

Based on the results of the informal dialogue, taking into account the success of the young talent, IT Park Director Farhod Ibragimov presented the novice specialist with a certificate for courses at IT-Centers and Coursera from IT Park, where Vlada will be able to study the field of information technology and take his first steps in this direction.

Further, the delegation held a meeting with the creators of start-up projects in Nukus, where young people were able to talk about their innovative developments and ask all their questions.
