Delegation of Uzbekistan discussed collaboration with Datavolt

The delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, and CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov, held a meeting with the CEO of Datavolt, Rajit Nanda, in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting encompassed deliberations pertaining to the establishment of a joint data processing center and the development of highly skilled professionals.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of perspectives concerning the ongoing collaborative endeavors with the company on the implementation of the initial phase of the "Green" Data Processing Center project.

It was emphasized that particular consideration should be accorded to the critical matter of ensuring an adequate electricity supply for the successful realization of the project. The CEO of Datavolt affirmed that renewable energy sources would be utilized in this project.

Furthermore, it was underscored that proactive measures are being undertaken to attract prominent international IT enterprises to Uzbekistan through the creation of data processing centers.

In addition, attention was directed towards the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at the accelerated advancement of digital solutions within the education sector, the promotion of Uzbekistan's IT outsourcing capabilities in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, as well as the training of specialists in IT outsourcing and other disciplines.

The meeting also included a review of plans designed to attract major global technology corporations to Uzbekistan through the advancement of collaborative projects.

Following the negotiations, the parties engaged in discussions regarding prospects for the implementation of projects within the telecommunications sector.
