How did the Bootcamp within the framework of the President Tech Award unfold

During the period spanning from August 8th to 12th, within the context of the President Tech Award competition, a Bootcamp was conducted across various cities in Uzbekistan. This educational intensive convened a gathering of more than 1,000 participants hailing from diverse regions of the nation and afforded them the opportunity for knowledge acquisition, the development of innovative projects, the exchange of experiential insights, and the receipt of guidance from experts and accomplished entrepreneurs.

In Tashkent, the event took place on August 8th at the “New Uzbekistan” university. Here, specialists from the Republic of Korea and successful entrepreneurs shared their experience in effective pitching methods for attracting investments, creating business models and strategies, and discussed strategies for positioning Uzbek technological startups on the global stage.

At the meeting transpired in Samarkand on August 10th, participants deliberated upon themes encompassing the realms of startup financing, methodologies conducive to the development of prosperous products, anticipation of investors, and formulation of marketing strategies for startups.

The event concluded on August 12th at the Fergana Polytechnic Institute, where startupers were enriched with valuable insights pertaining to the formulation of a viable Minimum Viable Product (MVP), product monetization, investor engagement methodologies, and marketing approaches. Furthemore, attendees were acquainted with the success narratives of Uzbek startups, such as TASS Vision, ROYAL TAXI, BILLZ, and others.

Recall that participants of the President Tech Award can refine their applications on the competition platform, awards.gov.uz, until the cessation of August. In September, the phase of online project evaluation will commence, resulting in the selection of a mere 50 teams — 10 in each category — to advance to the ensuing phase of offline selection.
