How was the second Demo Day of the Tumaris.Tech project

On February 18, 2023, the second long-awaited Demo Day of the Tumaris.Tech project took place, where 13 teams presented their business projects.

Incubation and acceleration programs were carried out for two months in an online format in Russian. As part of the programs, participants received educational and strategic sessions with international experts, tracking with trained professionals, financial literacy courses, workshops on building a personal brand and time management, consultations on issues of interest, and networking among the startup community.

The partner of Wonder Women was responsible for the educational content of the programs in terms of speakers. The community has the strongest Wonder Women Mentorship program. The best experts and experienced specialists from all over Central Asia in such areas as IT, marketing, entrepreneurship, product management, customer service, and so on, acting as mentors, shared their knowledge within the framework of incubation and acceleration.

In total, 87 applications were submitted for participation in the Tumaris.Tech program, of which 47 were selected at Pitch Day, which took place on December 9, 2022. According to the results of Pitch Day, 35 projects continued their training in the incubation and acceleration program. 13 projects were able to reach Demo Day:

Incubation

• Engmarion is a platform for learning English and employment assistance;
• EasyStep is a mobile application for training IT specialists;
• JanaOmir is a platform for development, networking, personal growth and earnings for women;
• IB Tutor is a platform that helps students prepare for graduation with 7 types of online materials provided;
• Zabota.uz is a marketplace of trained online consultants;
• Albero is a platform for finding a future profession and university.

Acceleration

• IbnSino is a solution for the digitalization of business processes in the VHI market;
• Happy.kg is a marketplace that provides customers with the opportunity to buy goods by installments without coming to the bank office and stores;
• Event marketplace is a site for finding everything you need to organize your event;
• Immuniguide is a project for accurate, fast and massive determination of the state of human immunity without the help of a doctor;
• Mavi is a job search site for people with disabilities;
• Vegan.uz is a service for the production and delivery of vegan dishes and desserts;
• Birge is an app that helps people deal with mental health issues.

The jury members were local and foreign experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the jury included:

• Teamlead and Interim CTO of Beelab LLC – Shokhrukh Alimov;
• Founder of the womenʼs community “Wonder Women” – Rada Islamova;
• Business Development Director at Calypso Intelligent Solutions LLC, as well as the founder of the Coozin project – Artyom Arkhangelsky.

Additionally, following the results of the Demo Day, 7 best projects got the opportunity to visit the international exhibition of start-up projects in Tashkent, which will be held on March 11:
