innoWIUT entrepreneurial laboratory at the international University of Westminster in Tashkent in search of a Manager at innoWIUT.
The Manager will play a vital role in the development of innoWIUT by the overall WIUT strategy. The focus is on making the lab act as a creative platform for WIUT students and faculty and non-WIUT residents, to launch innovative ideas, entrepreneurial initiatives and new technology startups, social projects, and provide business solutions to local small and medium-sized enterprises.
Main responsibility:
- Development and implementation of the laboratory's strategy to increase its entrepreneurial footprint and link the University to industry and the entrepreneurial ecosystem;
- Engaging stakeholders in a high-quality, evidence-based business decision-making process by providing advice and recommendations;
- Creating and maintaining a high-quality creative entrepreneurial eco-culture at innoWIUT;
- Collaborate with the deans' offices to ensure a synergistic partnership between students, faculty, and other participants is not accidental - its goal within the laboratory's activities ;
- Develop a clear vision to increase the relevance and impact of innocent for various communities, governments, and other external actors such as SAP;
- Coordination and control of the daily activities of the laboratory.
Required qualifications and work experience:
- Preferably a master's degree or higher in entrepreneurship-related disciplines and at least four years of relevant experience, which may include managing a research laboratory, senior management, developing entrepreneurial programs, and managing startup projects;
- A demonstrated track record of entrepreneurial University-industry partnership projects and reports on robust international, national and regional industry platforms;
- Successful experience in attracting external funding and a global network of academic, business, and donor contacts;
- Experience working with cross-country, interdisciplinary stakeholders and developing relationships between different geographical regions and backgrounds;
- Experience in the formal and informal training of young teachers and students;
- Introduction to University analytical centers and higher education systems;
- Knowledge of the regions of Greater Central Asia;
- Fluency in English, Russian, and other regional languages (preferably).
