IT Park and the Korea ICT Entrepreneurs Association discussed prospects for enhanced cooperation

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Elyor Maksudov, Startup and Investment Development Director, held a meeting with a delegation from the Korea ICT Entrepreneurs Association headed by Lee Seong Hwan, Chairman of the Association, and Kim Chang Keon, Chairman of the Korea–Uzbekistan Business Association. The parties reached an agreement to develop areas of cooperation, including the organization of joint seminars and expert sessions, partner matchmaking among association members, and support for business missions and pilot projects between companies of the two countries.

The Korea ICT Entrepreneurs Association (K-ICT Entrepreneurs Association) is a South Korean non-profit organization specializing in the development of the ICT ecosystem. The association conducts technical seminars and expert meetings, maintains a comprehensive database of participants and competencies, and operates an online platform for the exchange of projects, technologies, and resources. Currently, the association unites approximately 400 companies. Headquartered in the city of Asan, it primarily focuses on the Chungnam region while collaborating with partner institutions to advance industry initiatives both in Korea and abroad.

During the meeting, representatives of the Association announced their intention to register a limited liability company in Uzbekistan for the software development of their smart robotics products and expressed their commitment to promoting Uzbekistan as a destination for business expansion and outsourcing. On its part, IT Park proposed holding joint forums for Korean startups in Uzbekistan and for Uzbek companies in Korea, as well as establishing a regular exchange of expertise.

The partnership with the K-ICT Entrepreneurs Association provides IT Park Uzbekistan with direct access to the Korean ICT business community, facilitates the launch of joint pilot projects and business missions, and expands the export potential of its members. The planned registration of a software development company in Uzbekistan for smart robotics, along with joint forums in both countries, will attract new partners and further strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a hub for digital services across Asian and European markets.
