IT Park in faces: Sultonmurod Rasulov - versatile head of the export department

We continue to speak about how IT Park employees conquer new heights! We invite you to inspire another interesting story! Sultonmurod Rasulov – the head of export department, became the new hero of the “IT Park in faces” column.

Sultonmurod is 24 years old. He graduated from the Collegium Civitas University of Warsaw in Poland with a Bachelorʼs degree in International Business and Management.

Our hero began his career at IT Park Uzbekistan in December 2021. According to him, he approached the choice of a place of work consciously and responsibly, as he planned to develop in a significant and large-scale area for Uzbekistan.

“One of my acquaintances who worked at IT Park advised me to apply for a job. Following his advice, I successfully got a job. I was hired as a promotion manager in the foreign market. I think that I successfully passed this difficult path and met the expectations of the management, since they began to trust me with more important tasks”.

Currently, Sultonmurodʼs responsibilities include increasing the export of IT Park resident companies, attracting foreign companies to the Uzbek market, as well as promoting the services of residents abroad. Additionally, it helps young employees develop professional competencies and socialize in the team.

Why IT Park?
For two years now, Sultonmurod has been working tirelessly for the benefit of IT Park Uzbekistan. The beginning of his career, he recalls, was not without difficulties, but a close-knit team and the support of colleagues convinced him of the right choice of profession and company.

“Every profession has certain difficulties. There were also obstacles on my professional path, for example, establishing relationships with foreign companies, meeting with foreign delegations, constantly communicating with them, making presentations and speaking to the public. Such tasks seemed difficult to me, but thanks to a close-knit team that always mentors and supports me, I succeeded in all matters.

The period of adaptation to the new corporate environment was also not without difficulties.  It was difficult for me to get used to a new way of life, new colleagues and new challenges.  However, over time, I not only got used to it, but also found, as they say, lifelong friends.  And most importantly - mutual understanding and mutual respect”.

“I am motivated by my colleagues, IT Park executives and the drive that comes from the leaders of our industry. Even the thought that the companies I work with and communicate with can ultimately establish their presence in Uzbekistan, changing the lives of many people, inspires me.  I feel like Iʼm developing as a person. Working at IT Park is not about WHAT I get here, itʼs about WHO I become here. I am grateful to work with this wonderful team”.

What do you think about the IT sphere of Uzbekistan?

As Sultonmurod noted, the IT sector in Uzbekistan is developing rapidly and making a great contribution to the countryʼs economy. State support for the sector and the availability of a skilled workforce have attracted international companies to invest in the countryʼs IT industry, he says.

“IT Park plays an important role in the economic development of the country for the growth of the IT industry, providing a favorable environment for IT start-ups and companies. It also creates jobs that contribute to the development of a skilled workforce. Additionally, innovative technologies and services developed by IT Park companies can contribute to the digital transformation in various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, which will lead to increased efficiency, productivity and competitiveness. Thus, IT Park makes an important contribution to promoting the socio-economic development of the country and creating a brighter future for its citizens”.

Tell us about your hobbies and dreams

As someone passionate about personal growth and new experiences, our hero has a variety of hobbies that reflect his interests.  He spends his free time on self-development and reading books.

“Iʼm a huge rock ‘n’ roll fan and love to sing along with my favorite bands like Oasis, Nirvana and the Rolling Stones. I also like to travel, but I prefer to explore remote places where you can fully immerse yourself in the local culture. To support my personal development, I enjoy reading self-help books, experimenting with new habits like taking cold showers, and practicing meditation and visualization to stay focused and motivated”.
