From November 5 to 10, the IT Park delegation led by the head of the Fergana branch of IT Park Bakhrom Jalilov took part in the China International Import Expo-2023 exhibition, held in Shanghai, China. This is an annual exhibition, held since 2018, where more than 280 companies from 154 countries included in the Fortune Global 500 list presented their potential in developing trade, investment, industry and tourism.
IT Park presented its stand at the exhibition, dedicated to digitalization and digital development of Uzbekistan. During the event, negotiations were held with more than 15 local and international companies, including Qualcomm Technologies Inc., MM Solutions EAD, Opsys Technologies, Axalit Soft, Micron Technology, Intel, Unity, AlienWare, International Data Port, Wave Cyber, Lenze and Digital Smart City.
Representatives of the Kazakh Astana Hub and Tech Garden, as well as the Georgian Georgia's Innovation & Technology Agency, received information about the IT Park ecosystem, tax incentives, services and opportunities for opening an IT business and developing startup projects in Uzbekistan. Information was provided about IT Visa, Zero Risk, One stop Shop programs and educational initiatives in Uzbekistan.
Representatives of IT Park met with Ronald Qian, Chairman of the Board of the Chinese IT company TenderAccess.com, discussed the development of digitalization in Uzbekistan and discussed opportunities for further cooperation. Negotiations were also held with the Chinese companies Trina Solar, Reutech Mining, Ray Dlut and Source and Tool on transferring business processes to Uzbekistan and attracting local IT specialists.
Issues of exchange of experience and cooperation, including attracting Belarusian IT exporting companies to Uzbekistan, were discussed with the Deputy General Director of the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone in Belarus, Yuri Pcholka.
At the meeting with the founder of the Iranian startup Life and Me, Seyyed Aref Suleymanyan, the IT Park infrastructure, support for startups and information about tax incentives for IT companies were presented.
On the next day of the exhibition, a meeting was held with Li Yongqiang, head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Government in China. The parties agreed to implement joint projects in the field of digital economy, support for entrepreneurs, IT education and development of the startup ecosystem.
