“mGovAward”: Registration for the $100,000 Prize Pool Contest Continues!

  A large-scale “mGovAward” competition for the development of mobile applications in the field of public services is being held throughout the Republic.

  The organizers of the competition are IT Park, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Government of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

  Students of universities and schoolchildren from all over Uzbekistan can take part in the competition.

  The main goal of the “mGovAward” competition is to increase the interest of young people in working together with the state and to develop high-quality solutions for the development of public services.  The best developed solutions will be implemented in public institutions.

  Participants can provide a solution in one of the following areas:

  1. Education;

  2. Health care;

  3. Tourism;

  4. Transport and logistics;

  5. Entrepreneurship;

  6. Ecology and clean energy;

  7. Finance and taxes;

  8. Legislation.

  As part of the competition, participants can assemble their team, get advice from mentors, as well as get acquainted and share experience with other participants.

  As noted earlier, the prize fund of the competition is $100,000:

  1st place - $50,000;

  2nd place - $30,000;

  3rd place - $20,000.

  To take part, you need:

  - assemble a team of at least three people;

  - register on the website http://mgovaward.uz;

  - provide a mobile application in one of the directions;

  - record a video describing the functions of the application with a duration of no more than three minutes.

  Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2022.  In addition, it is planned to organize offline meetings with students in all regions of the country.  There will also be seminars and workshops on the main topics of mobile development.
