On February 21, business development adviser at trade service representatives of the Embassy of Canada Konysheva Alexandra Nikolaevna visited IT Park Uzbekistan’s office.
The visit pursued the goal of discussing the possibility of cooperation in education and business development in IT.
The guest was welcomed by the Head of the Department for International Relations Nigora Mirjalilova and manager for international cooperation Umida Odilova. During the meeting, representatives of IT Park spoke about the measures taken by the government to transform the state as a regional IT hub.
Nigora Mirjalilova spoke about the main activities of IT Park, particularly about the support and initiatives that come from the government of Uzbekistan for the development of the IT sector in the economy, programs for the development of IT education and business support in the field of IT, as well as projects implemented jointly with overseas organizations within the framework of international cooperation. The parties discussed the free economic zone that IT Park provides to its resident companies, and the work to reform IT education and educate young IT professionals.
The representative of the embassy was also introduced to the IT Park University online educational establishment. Alexandra Nikolaevna noted the popularity of online training programs at Canadian universities and suggested considering cooperation with Canadian universities specializing in information technology.
Summing up the meeting, Alexandra Nikolaevna expressed her readiness to support the organization of joint programs between Canadian universities and IT Park University, the first online university in Uzbekistan.
