In pursuit of strengthening bilateral relations and fostering international cooperation, IT Park Uzbekistan established its representative office in Saudi Arabia in December 2024. This initiative represents a significant milestone in attracting foreign investments, supporting startups, and facilitating the expansion of Uzbek companies into the MENA region. The inauguration of this office also contributed to the successful participation of IT Park Uzbekistan in the international technology exhibition, LEAP 2025, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In February 2025, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, accompanied by 10 member companies, participated in LEAP 2025 — one of the world’s most prominent technology events. This event provided an exceptional platform for Uzbekistan to demonstrate its technological capabilities, explore outsourcing opportunities, present investment prospects, and establish collaborative ties with international corporations, investors, and governmental entities.
Discussions on Business Expansion and Cooperation
During the exhibition, IT Park Uzbekistan successfully established connections with several leading global corporations, including Upsource by STC, Aramco Digital, Aramco Academy, and Odoo. These organizations expressed a keen interest in establishing branch offices in Uzbekistan and expanding their presence across Central Asia, with a particular emphasis on recruiting multilingual Uzbek IT professionals.
Expansion of the Local2Global Program in the GCC Region
In the context of the visit to Saudi Arabia and participation in LEAP 2025, IT Park Uzbekistan held discussions regarding the expansion of its Local2Global program within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This initiative will be implemented through the representative office in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with local partner organizations. The primary objective of the program is to support the international expansion of Uzbek IT companies by facilitating access to global markets and business networks.
Strengthening Bilateral Technological Cooperation
IT Park Uzbekistan continues to cultivate its cooperative relationship with Elm — a leading IT solutions provider in Saudi Arabia. Elm has shown its interest in engaging with member companies of IT Park and extending its presence within Central Asia. It is anticipated that representatives of Elm will undertake a visit to Uzbekistan in the near future.
Furthermore, IT Park Uzbekistan conducted meetings with several key IT companies and international technology corporations to identify potential areas for collaboration in fields such as engineering and IT services, telecommunications solutions, customer experience technologies, and innovative IT solutions. These discussions featured participants from SRACO ICT, ACES, Nita (Aramco Academy), AlasilaCX, Hawsabah, SecureWay, Liferay, Comarch, and Obeikan Digital.
Venture Investments and the Development of the Startup Ecosystem
Saudi venture capital funds, including Hala Ventures and Enhance Ventures, expressed substantial interest in exploring collaborative opportunities within the framework of a startup exchange program. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the potential establishment of a startup studio in Uzbekistan in partnership with Enhance Studio, under the leadership of Mr. Alper Celen. This initiative aims to support technology-driven startups and foster innovation.
Expansion of the TumarisTech Accelerator in the GCC Region
IT Park Uzbekistan is also considering the expansion of the TumarisTech accelerator program — a platform dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs in the technology sector — into the GCC region. This collaboration with the Saudi Women Leaders Network seeks to provide female entrepreneurs in the region with access to mentorship opportunities and international investment networks.
