Uzbekistan is actively working on a fundamental change in the educational sector. The ongoing reforms and various projects aimed at further improvement of the industry are yielding positive results.
In order to further improve the quality education system and study foreign experience, from March 29 to March 31, an Uzbek delegation as part of IT Park resident companies took part in the educational exhibition Bett Education Show, which was held in London.
Bett Education Show is the world's largest annual education trade show, based in London, showcasing over 600 innovative EdTech and resource solution providers for companies, institutions and people interested in education.
The exhibition provided an opportunity to promote the experience of local education, find solutions to topical problems in the field, get acquainted with advanced learning technologies, as well as tasks from global technology companies to well-known educational brands and startups.
During the visit to London, a number of meetings were held with major international companies, such as Level39, BASDA, BIKAL, MultiPass by Dyninno Group's, CTD Advisors, The Worship Company of World Traders.
During the meeting with the CEO and Executive Chairman of BASDA (The Business Application Software Developers Association) Kevin Har, the dialogue participants discussed the implementation of several joint projects. In particular, the parties agreed to consider in detail the options for outsourcing the business of the companies included in this association in Uzbekistan.
In addition, the delegation held a meeting with the director of the BIKAL company (British Innovation, Knowledge and Advanced Learning), at which an agreement was reached on working out the option of opening a representative office in Tashkent. Also, at a meeting with the representative office of MultiPass by Dyninno Group’s, the parties discussed the development of IT outsourcing and opportunities for further cooperation, and also agreed to organize negotiations on opening a company office in Uzbekistan.
In addition, during a series of meetings organized during the visit, negotiations were held and great interest was expressed in studying the Uzbek market and opportunities for IT business from the founder of The Worship Company of World Traders and CTD Advisors. Shoaib Bajwa, the founder of CTD Advisors, expressed his readiness to visit Uzbekistan in May this year for a more substantive study of the company's cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan.
Within a framework of the trip, a meeting was also held with the management of the company “Level39”.
“Level39” is a startup accelerator in London's financial heartland with experience in nurturing over 100 unicorn startups.
The resident-company of IT Park - Realsoft was also a participant in this meeting and applied for membership in the community to enter the British market.
Moreover, the delegation held negotiations with a number of international universities represented at the exhibition, and proposed the opening of their offices in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that this year's exhibition in London was attended by more than 40,000 people from 40 countries of the world, which made it possible to establish new acquaintances and contacts for the country's cooperation with international giants in the field of education and IT, to raise awareness of the world community about the reform taking place in these areas in Uzbekistan, and to study global trends and innovative solutions in the field of education.
