During the talks, the parties discussed the company’s current activities in Uzbekistan, plans to expand its IT office in Tashkent, obtaining resident status at IT Park Uzbekistan, and prospects for further investment cooperation.

Robotis Inc. is a South Korean company founded in 1999, specializing in the development and production of robotic platforms and components. The company is globally recognized for its Dynamixel servo actuators and educational robots, which are widely used in schools, universities, and research centers. Robotis is headquartered in Seoul and operates offices in the United States, China, and Japan. The company employs around 110 people worldwide.

During the meeting, company representatives announced their plans to become a resident of IT Park Uzbekistan and significantly expand their presence in the country. Robotis has already hired more than 10 IT specialists with proficiency in Korean and English. In January 2026, the company plans to recruit an additional 15 employees, with long-term plans to grow the team to up to 50 specialists to develop its IT and BPO operations. IT Park Uzbekistan will support Robotis in recruiting software engineers in software development, data analytics, and robotics for its Uzbek office.

The company also presented its long-term investment plans, including the potential establishment of a manufacturing facility in one of Uzbekistan’s regions in 2026.

Special attention during the meeting was given to talent recruitment, operational activities, and prospects for partnership in robotics and high-tech industries. Makhlio Muksinova proposed developing cooperation in training local specialists in software development for robotic solutions.

Cooperation with Robotis opens new opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan to attract high-tech companies in the field of robotics, create new jobs, and develop export-oriented IT services. Robotis’s entry as a resident of IT Park also contributes to strengthening technological ties between Uzbekistan and East Asian countries, as well as increasing the country’s investment attractiveness in innovative technologies. As a result, the number of Korean resident companies in Uzbekistan has approached 30.
