The British Council and IT Park discussed the prospects of cooperation

On August 9, the office of IT Park Uzbekistan was visited by a delegation of the British Council, consisting of general director Denise Waddingham, deputy director Jamilya Gulyamova, and coordinator for working with partners Amirsaid Sadikov.

The guests were welcomed by IT Park executive director Abdulahad Kuchkarov, head of investment and international relations department Nigora Mirjalilova, head of digital transformation department Azamat Juraev, and senior manager in education quality development department Humoyun Sultonov.

Representatives of the IT Park provided detail information about their activities, goals and achievements. The delegation expressed interest in ongoing partnerships and relationships between universities (including programs with an IT direction) and UK companies.

The British Council was particularly interested in the issue of partnership with local universities and the possibility of attracting partners from the United Kingdom. The delegation expressed readiness to assist in establishing cooperation between British companies and universities in Uzbekistan.

During the discussion, Deniz Weddingham expressed his views on the development and implementation of the IELTS exam in the regions of Uzbekistan. He showed interest in creating a development program for the regions of the country, which would include digitalization of IELTS tests through computers.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation for the development of human potential in the republic.
