The Central Bank and IT Park held a training on digital financial literacy

On August 2, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with IT Park, conducted an online training on digital financial literacy. The event was organized to train specialists who are able to effectively teach the basics of financial literacy to the population of the country and contribute to the development of the digital economy in Uzbekistan.

The training was attended by more than 60 participants, including teachers and employees of regional IT Centers throughout the republic. Participants were provided with a detailed explanation of the basic concepts of digital banking services, financial security rules, responsible borrowing, interest accrual and the creation of a positive credit history.

In addition, practical classes were developed, in which participants got acquainted with three digital educational resources:

· online deposit and credit calculators on the website Finlit.uz;

· information portal of financial services of commercial banks for individuals Bankxizmatlari.uz;

· unified electronic platform for family entrepreneurship development programs Oilakredit.uz.

It should be noted that the event was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the Central Bank and IT Park. The implementation of the project provides for the inclusion of the module "Digital Financial Literacy" in the advanced course "Computer Literacy" in all IT Centers throughout the republic from August 2023.
