On October 24, at the Startup Summit as part of ICTWEEK UZBEKISTAN 2023, the launch of the Star Venture program in Uzbekistan was announced. This program from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is aimed at supporting innovative startups.

The EBRD's Star Venture program aims to identify promising innovative startups by providing them with access to experience and funding. The project will help startups grow their businesses by providing advice on various aspects including strategy, finance, operations, organization, marketing and sales.
The launch of the Star Ventures project at ICTWEEK UZBEKISTAN 2023 promises significant support and stimulation for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, helping them achieve success.
It is expected that at least six startups from Uzbekistan will be selected. At the same time, companies can be representatives of a variety of sectors: the development of artificial intelligence, educational innovations, agricultural technologies, medicine, cloud computing and energy-efficient technologies.

It should be noted that since the creation of the program in 2019, the EBRD Star Venture initiative has already supported more than 650 startups in 23 countries. And the amount of attracted investments from startups exceeded $420 million. In particular, in 2022, the EBRD Star Venture program was launched in Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
